NANETS/SNMMI PRRT Webinar a Success
NANETS and SNMMI collaborated to deliver a dynamic webinar on PRRT. Moderated by Ghassan El-Haddad, MD, this event featured keynote speakers Elcin Zan, MD and Ryan Reddy, MD, who spoke on PRRT principles and patient selection, patient outcomes with Lu-177 DOTATATE and future directions.
Over 200 people attended the event, which included participation in the evaluation component and earning up to 1 Medical Knowledge MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine's (ABIM) maintenance of Certification (MOC) program.

Member Spotlight - April 2021
NANETS member Po Hien Ear, PhD, Research Assistant Professor in Surgical Oncology and Endocrine Surgery at the University of Iowa, Carver College of Medicine, was the recipient of NANETS' 2019 Basic/Translational Science Investigator (BTSI) award.
"The NANETS BTSI award has given me the opportunity to secure a faculty position at the University of Iowa. It really made a huge difference in my academic career," Dr. Ear remarked. "My research has been extremely fruitful because of the funding provided by this award."
As she continues to prepare her manuscripts, she expects that her papers will be published within the next year. Dr. Ear previously authored the Establishment and Characterization of Small Bowel Neuroendocrine Tumor Spheroids.
"I am extremely proud and honored to be a NANETS member. I have never had the opportunity to be part of such a supportive and collaborative society. I really appreciate the initiatives of NANETS' administrative and executive committees for organizing the Women in NETs and Research Grants webinars."

Eastern/Western Virtual Regional Conferences
NANETS hosts two virtual conferences this spring. These comprehensive NET education programs are offered as East and West one-day virtual events. The virtual event platform simulates NANETS’ in person events and will cover both the surgical and medical management of NETs. Active breakout rooms will facilitate discussion on topics such as running a PRRT program, the critical role of the allied health provider, and focused resources for early career professionals.
